We brew this beer annually to celebrate the festive season. Each year we change the spices used in the beer to showcase new ideas. This season we used a combination of star anise, cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and love to put cheery winter carnival in every pint.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a clear, reddish-brown color, with a big, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is nutmeg, pumpernickel, walnut, and peat. Sweet and malty, with a light, savory bitterness. Medium body, dusty, and crisp. Nicely made and enjoyable.

22oz bottle picked up at Supermarket liquors
Pours clear dark mahogany with a small beige head and some lacing. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Taste is sweet malts, cinnamon, ginger and herbal bitterness
A good Christmas ale, lots of aroma but the taste is kind of muttled together.

Bottle thanks to ratman. Pours with a clear deep bronze hued body with a tan head. Aromas are of gingerbread, nutty cookie, biscuity malt, eugenol, cinnamon and a lot of spice. Flavors are lightly metallic, thin, bitter, spicy tannin, gingerbread, spice, clove and nutmeg. Very thin bodied and spicy, lively bubbles.

Bottle shared by Irishboy. Pours darkly ruddy with little or no head. Aroma is spicy - but perhaps more towards pumpkin pie than Xmas. Med + body. Flavor is so pie spice. It works, but it’s a rather different Xmas ale. Judged without regard to season, it’s a nice spiced ale.

Bomber from Ratman!!! Nose is pumpkin pie, with all the cardamon, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger even lacking the pumpkin. Cherry brown with a small beige head. Flavor is very spicy with a light bitterness.

Bomber - pours a clear amber - nose is full of cardamom, cinnamon, ginger/gingerbread - medium bodied, full carbonation - fairly dry and Biscuity, which is a relief, since the label says it is made with molasses - cardamom is showcased well up front - the tail end is spicy ginger and cinnamon - fairly crisp maltiness throughout - a solid Christmas brew.
