Bottle from the Folsom Whole Foods. Label has no "Blind Stud", just stout. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aromas of chocolate and a little coffee. Plus something rather unusual. Med body or less. Flavor is chocolate with hardly any coffee. There’s something herbal lurking in the background. Reminds me of Horlicks malt tablets - which I haven’t thought about in a long time. It’s drinkable. Just not a super example of the style.

Well, this isn’t even on the Four in Hand website yet, so I can’t find a commercial description. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized foamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, faint stone fruits and floral hops. The taste is roasted malts, cocoa and a bitter, almost tinny hop finish. Thin-medium bodied. Fairly mundane.
