Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with backing tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and tropical fruit lingers with pine and light earth.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy apricot with a creamy white head. Aroma is moderate cat pee with some light stone fruit and arguably rye spice. Near full bodied with lots of cat pee, peach/apricot and pretty sure floral. The finish is spicy rye with all those hops. It’s dry in the finish, but malt hovers. This is a most brilliant ale.

Perfect hazy golden orange coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall tan head with a brilliant glow that shows very well when held to a light. Aroma of sticky, resiny hops with a ton of apricots, grapefruit, pine and a bit of alcohol tucked in - mouth watering. Medium-bodied; Super assertive grassy and resiny hops with an awesome piney and grapefruity bitterness that is pure hop. Aftertaste is mouth watering and horribly bittering all at the same time - great for the style. A touch of alcohol on the tail end, some apricots and fruity sweetness to temper the bitterness and a great deep finish. Overall, one of the best IPAs I’ve had in the last year easily, perhaps one of the best I’ve ever had. This gives AleSmith IPA a run for it’s money, as the best pure (non Imperial) IPA in my opinion. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Olive Tree Market Place in San Diego, California on 01-May-2012 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 04-June-2012, but i’d easily pay US$12 for this one, as it is such a good beer for the style!

22oz bomber pours crystal clear copper with thin off white head. The aroma offers up a good load of tangelo and mango like hoppy notes followed by lesser amounts of pine sap bitterness and sugary malts. The taste is much the same with mango and bitter tangelo mixing with an odd blend of pine bitter hops and a bit too much sugary malts that seems to pull this apart. The taste is bold and near brash and a lot IIPA like, which I am enjoying.
