Brewed with our old friends from NMBCo, and our new friends from Verdant and Deya, this IPA features Chinook, and a prominent, aromatic, and complex maltiness from a touch of Munich and Château Arome malts in the grist. A power outage shut us down mid brew, but rapid service and repair saved the day and got us back up and running in time to finish brewing.

(440ml can from Mikkeller Webshop, canned Aug 3) ~ 7wo @ drinking. Pours a rather hazy deep orange with a decent white head that fades to a ring with lace. Aroma shows a bit of hop fade, notes of candied orange, pine, herbs, light dried flowers, caramel, bread and biscuit, maltier than Cloudwater's normal fare. Flavour carries through the malty impression, sweetish caramel and bread/grain from the Munich is quite clear to me. More candied orange, orange peels, herbs, dried grass, pine needles and earth come from the hops, which again seem a little faded. Finish is dry, light to moderate bitterness, continuing grain, pith, herbs. Fairly full body for style, the carb is soft and it feels thick. In summary, though, the maltiness and bitterness makes it feel more west coast than NE, and coupled with some fade, it's not Cloudwater's best work.
