Bitterness is back baby, make no bones about it. This pale gold session ale is jam packed with our favourite American hops. Backbone is a west coast inspired pale ale that features heavy hitters, Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial - delivering body blows of Pine, Citrus and Resin. A lighter body and heavy mid palate hop flavour combine to produce a highly drinkable and refreshing beer.

Cask at the Bear, Paddington on 10th November 2023. Hazy gold with shallow off-white foam and spot lacing. Tropical fruits aroma. Bitter hoppiness in-mouth and a grassy finish with some sweet berry fruits. Light bodied with crisp mouthfeel.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. There’s summer fruits in the aroma. In the mouth it starts off sweet and juicy with apples as the main flavour. After a while it becomes quite bitter with marmalade, resin and citrus. Finish is slightly sweet however. Not bad at all.
