Inspired by the Viking warlord who invaded the Wirral in 902AD.
This IPA is brewed with Norwegian Voss Kveik yeast & hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, El Dorado & Summit for a pronounced hit of pithy orange, grapefruit & tropical fruit punch.

Can on 9th January 2022, part of a gift. Pours a hazy copper with off-white foam and a fair bit of lacing. Elegant aroma of peel and delicate spices. Rich and intense grapefruit and bitter tangerine peel in-mouth, and a zesty grapefruit finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. Absolutely exquisite.

Can from the brewery. Appearance - golden with a slight haze. Big fluffy, slightly off white head. Nose - dried orange, canned apricot, light cake even. Taste - yep, more apricot. Canned mandarin. Light resin at the back. Palate - tangy in texture, close to medium bodied. Dry, tangy finish. Overall - good stuff.
