Easy drinking dark fruity stout. Brewed with a combination of 5 malts and roasted barley. Challenger hops were added throughout the brew to give a light, smooth bitterness. Tradition hops were used to give a floral and fruity flavour/aroma enhanced by an addition of raisins.

Cask (handpump) @ Craft Beer Co - Clerkenwell, 82 Leather Lane, Clerkenwell, Greater London, England EC1N 7TR. [ As Neptune Undercurrent ].Clear dark brown black colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate, roasted, dark fruit - berry - licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170418] 7-4-7-3-15

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 19th April 2017. Virtually black with thin, pale tan film and scant lacing. Coffee roast malt aroma. Roasty maltiness in-mouth with coffee, bitter chocolate and hints of tart fruits. The two-part finish is fruity then coffee-malty. Fair bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
