Poured from a 16 oz can dated July 30, 2019. Aroma is hop forward with lots of citrus and tropical fruit. Grapefruit, orange and mandarin with papaya, pineapple, mango and pine resin. Light cracker malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a rather clear gold color with a large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly but steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderately high amounts of lacing and faint legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with a medium to medium light cracker malt note. Moderately strong bitterness that lingers in the finish with a bit of alcohol spice. Moderately strong hop notes of grapefruit, orange, and pine resin with lighter notes of papaya, mango and pineapple. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice West Coast IPA. Solid hop notes with a balanced malt backbone and assertive, but not over-the-top bitterness.
