I acquired Sundowner at a Total Wine on a visit to the DFW area last summer. While a beer or two I have had from Adelbert's have been pretty decent, I have been mostly underwhelmed by Brut beers in general. Let us move along. I pop the cork and am greeted by a significant, non-ending flow of foam. I catch as much as I can and then make a pour into my New Belgium globe glass. The liquid is a dense yellow-orange and the before-mentioned head is off-white and remains vigorous. The scent delivers yellow raisin and floral, not a bad intro. I take a drink, not bad either, better than any other Brut beer sampled previously. Yellow fruit, yeast, hay and grass, honey and granny smith apple. No bitterness, a healthy 12% ABV that is well concealed. Better than expected.

750ml bottle from Tavour. Gusher, first I've had in a long time. Luckily I released the cork very slowly so only lost a couple ounces. Nose is cloves, yeast, and caramel. Murky yellow gold with a big, lightly lacing, off white head. Flavor is lightly sweet and yeasty.
