12 ounce can from Woodman's Menomonee Falls, 11/3/22. New brewery! Brewery #2127, USA #1722, Illinois #82. But the can says this was brewed at Potosi. Slightly hazy orange, large off-white head, above average retention. Aroma of yeast, lime, earth, bread. Taste is bready malt, citrus, lime Jello. Thin. Weird.

Notes from August 2016. Poured from the bottle, the beer shows a bit of a murky brown to tan color, with a very short-lived ring of foam at the top. The smell is pretty malty, nice enough in itself, but there is a lack of the warm ferment funk or spice you would expect with a farmhouse ale. What I also get is a light orange peel among the malts in the palate. It comes across more like a Doppelbock than a saison. A bit of Belgian style sugar puts this a little too much toward the sweet side. I would hope that once Finch gets their brewery situation settled, they’ll look at the formulation of this beer, as I would not expects Minhas to be able to handle unusual styles like this very well. A farmhouse or saison needs a little space of its own the cultivate a bit of funk away from the rest of the brewery.

Bottle poured into a shaker. From notes. Corn and grains with a hint of clove and a little apple. Meh, not bad but not too special either.

Bottle. Pours a clear honey gold color. Thin head dissapates quickly leaving no trace of lacing. Aroma is mainly sweet with some spice & a touch of funk. Taste found a strange, almost syrupy sweetness, corn, and some funky spice. Light bodied with low carbonation. Brewed by Minhas now.
