16oz bottle. Big, rich, full body. Classic noble hope tones amplified US style. Nice pleasant lagering. Filtered orange-copper body. Sweet, smooth, malty. Really solid.

On tap at EatBar DC pours a lightly hazy gold with some ringing, white head. Nose has grist, biscuit, lemon, straw. Flavor is more on the malt side, honey, biscuit, white flour, some straw. Finishes a bit sticky. Didn’t need to be 8%.

Bottle received in trade from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a slightly hazy deep yellow color with a frothy white head that shows great retention. Sweet crackery toasty pilsner maltiness with bits of light fruit, a touch of ethanol, and a bit too much ashy cardboard. Not horrible, but the oxidation kills this for me.

Cool German looking 50cl bottle, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a nearly clear deep gold body that has thin copper hues and supports a 2 minute long off white head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some biscuit malts, sugary pilsner like malts, some pear and honey like sweetness and then a thin herbal sort of sweetened lime like hoppiness. The taste begins with a rush of sweet malts laced with a thin pilsner malt sensation and then quickly getting into modestly bitter floral and spicy hops. Toward the finish a layer of caramel malts and faint breadiness are unearthed followed by pear and ripe sweet green apple esters. This is light enough and has nearly enough hops going on to steer this just clear of the steep cliff of over sweetness.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is some pale lager malts with some honey like sweetness. Flavor is a dry pils like malt then more sweetness with the honey and some sugar. The flavor is gone quickly after the swallow. I did not get much of an alcohol some have gotten but this is a very sweet beer. It’s ok I guess, the sweetness is going to get the better of me after awhile.

On tap at the Grove location. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly and laces. Aroma has some straw and light grain with a bit of cookie sweetness underlying. Flavor is much more sweet with some light fruit and cookie with just a bit of straw backing.
