Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Hazy copper with small white head. Aroma is caramel, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is caramel and earthy.

Clay, oak, caramel aroma. Murky ochre, thin yellow head. Apricot, oak, dates. Full body. moderate carbonation, stinging mouthfeel like putting your tongue to a 9 volt battery. Alcohol not obvious.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours murky amber with a beige head. Aroma is red fruit, dried fruit, rubbing alcohol, caramel. Not as appealing as many others in the style. Flavor is dried fruit, alcohol, cherry, caramel, toffee, burnt sugar. Not loving it. Going to let it warm a bit as try again.

Pour is a dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma is molasses type malts with some herbal hop. Flavor is some caramel malt without being overly sweet. Then comes a bit of molasses sweetness follow by some brown sugar. The beer is still not a sugar bomb with all the flavors that come out and the alcohol is hidden well. Pretty solid barley wine. Flavorful without a huge alcohol hit.
