Refrigerated 0.5 brown bottle poured into a glass. Clear light pink with very little head. Aroma is light tart, light body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart and some currants.

Bottle from Julio’s. Hazy amber with a large, dense, foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of strong funk, wine, hints of tart berry. Taste is grape, currant, wine, funk, mild tannins. Medium bodied, crisp, delicate, strong lingering tartness.

Bottle at the Funkatorium. Pinkish-red color with a medium pinkish-white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Short stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of oak, tart fruit and yeast. Light to medium body with a vinous oak character and notes of currants, yeast and malt. The finish is tart with a wine and currant aftertaste. Good beer all around.
