Cask at Sun, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small foany off-white head and good lacing. Malts and fruity oranges in the aroma. In the mouth it starts of sweet and slightly fruity before bitterness takes over. There’s also biscuits and caramel hanging around. Finish is rather dry. Bit of a nothing beer really.

Cask @ White Hart, Todmorden. Vermillion in colour, or a deeper orange if you prefer, with a frothy head. Has a fruity nose but has biscuit flavours with a lingering taste in this respect with a bitterness.
