Tap at the brewery - not sure happened, but this sucker is buttery as hell - toasty and bready, too, but none of the complex yeast character you’d expect for the style - just tastes like buttered dark bread - lame.

Tap at Piece. Unfiltered chunky amber-brown body. Pleasant banana clove tones. Classic brewpub example, true to style. Rides the yeast. Medium bodied. OK.

Draft at piece. From old notes, working on a +3 month backlog. Loads of banana and a hint of spice. Pretty good.

A hazed copper amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of banana cake, cloves, eugenol, dark fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity banana malt with cloves, berries, coriander, curacao, nice. On tap at brewery.

Free beer won from Tooch4321 during free beer week. 64 oz. screw cap growler poured into a weizen glass. Pours dark brown with light brown highlights. Taste is clove, rich chocolate, and some banana. Low carbonation and estery aroma. If you get this in a growler, make sure you gently turn the growler upside down to redistribute the yeast.

Enjoyed on tap at Piece in Chicago, IL while grabbing beers with a friend. I remember this being better in all honesty. Appearance is a cloudy caramel with a thin white head. Aroma of banana and clove, also a slight bit of yeast.
Taste is like a typical Dunkelweiss except more malty and more of a yeast presence. It’s good but again, I remember this being better.

Growler that I grabbed at the brew pub. Pours a cloudy brown with a slight amber hue and a yellowish tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice spice note with some smooth dark grains and just a hint of coffee. Flavor was similar with a nice spice note through out with mellowing dark grains.

Draft @ the brew pub. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity wheat malty banana aroma with some spicy hints. Fruity wheat malty caramel flavor with hints of banana. Has a fruity wheat malty banana finish.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with a white head. Nice banana aroma. Almost chewy. Lots of banana and roast malt for flavor. Banana finish. Not sweet. Very good.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a dark orange-brown color with a medium thin beige head that diminishes steadily. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of bananas and bready malt. Medium body with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and wheat. More bananas in the flavor too. The finish is fruity and wheaty and there is sweet clove that lingers a bit. Decent overall.
