This beer was obviously infected but the bastards were selling it anyway so they get the crappy rating they deserve. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head that left good lacing. The aroma was peppermint, sour and off. The flavor was sour, infected and had a tart cheap red wine note. Very long sour red wine finish. Moderately full bodied. Pretty awful.

Tap at North High. Massive barrel tones. Black-brown body, rusty beige head. Smells like booze, tastes like booze. Friggin booze bomb. Boozy caramel. Syrupy licorice. On another level. Not refreshing. Kind of a chore to drink. Not a horrible beverage, but not a good beer.

Sample at Jackie O’s BBDA and Oil of Aphrodite Release and Barrel aged Beer Festival on 9/11/10. Pours black with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Bourbon-infused aroma with notes of malt and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, malt and some bourbon. The finish is oak and malt with a short chocolaty aftertaste. Overall a pretty good barrel-aged offering from Weasel Boy.
