Crystal clear copper and orange coloured body with a peach glow and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of sour funk, lemons, cleanser, acid and a bit of floral and piney hops - not too much though, more of the funk. Medium-bodied; Interesting and very funky flavours at first of yeast, bread, alcohol, dry grain, some sour citrus flavours and a bit of herbal and grassy hops near the end. Aftertaste shows the funk front and centre with a heavy malt and floral finish with a lot of odd flavours from yeast to sour citrus to just pure funk. An odd flavour throughout with a noticeable sourness, some light hops, a good malt note and a lot of just pure funk that shows a bit too much with no real clear purpose. Overall, an acceptable beer at best that tries to show a bit too much and nothing really works out - not sour enough for that style and definitely not even slightly hoppy enough to make it any sort of IPA - just plain interesting, but when served in the large format, not an experiment you really want. I sampled this 75 cL caged and corked bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Clarendon (Arlington), Virginia on 19-October-2016 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 28-April-2017. Purchased On: 19-October-2016 // Enjoy By: 13-March-2017 (B2) [Batch 2?] // Sampled On: 28-April-2017 My bottle states 8,64% ABV

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of floral and citrus. Tastes of citrus, tart acidic notes, lemon lime. Medium body with a dry finish. Actually pretty good, surprising compared to some of their other beers.

Draft pour, thanks to DCLawyer. Thanks Jason! Poured a hazy golden amber color with a small white head. Aroma was light pine, fruit, touch of bitter grapefruit. Flavor was light floral and tropical notes, and then the tart sour notes hit you. Lots of acid in this one, though not a lot of pucker to it. The acid hides the alcohol percentage pretty well I’d say.

Draft: Grapefruit and yeast nose. Hazy amber, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Tart overripe grapefruit, strong. Pine finish. Tangy medium body, soft carbonation. Delicious and very grapefruity, both from the hop bill and the malt acidity. Very neat concept.

Keg at the brewpub, 4/10/15. Murky orange, medium sized frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of leather, citrus, pale malt and a mild acetic tartness. The taste is acetic sour, green apple, citrus, tropical fruit. Medium bodied, moderate lingering tartness, low carbonation.
