Bomber from Bottleworks. Pours dark amber with a creamy/foamy light beige head. Aroma is sort of cooked fruit/veg. Sweet. Attractive. Med - body. Flavor is unusual. Very fruity/veg with some vanilla and bitter. Made be think of bourbon and orange. It’s not really bitter, but it’s not excessively sweet either. Quite tasty.

Deep dark hazy brown coloured body with a thick dense tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, metal, pit fruits and a good bit of caramel and nuts - strong, yet showing some good characteristics. Medium-bodied; Pungent and strong roasted malt with a little earth, a lot of pit fruit sweetness and a little metallic note. Aftertaste shows a touch dry palate, some light sweetness and a lot of malty and pungent alcohol aftertones - decent. Overall, a good strong ale, bordering on the edge of a barleywine, but rightfully son, not declared as one. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Safeway in Des Moines (SeaTac), Washington two days ago on 04-March-2011 sampled in our B&B in Kauai, Hawaii on 06-March-2011.

22oz Bottle Pours out a brown topped with a off white head. Aroma is sweet, strawberry (but mostly seeds like when you make your own shake at home and all the seeds gather at the bottom of the glass) ya like that. Taste is more of the sweet and I have to pull pretty hard to pick up the oak BB.

Bottle. Poured deep red with thin off white head. Caramel and barrel aroma. Light body less than one expects in a barrel aged beer. A little vanilla and a little spice in the flavour. Rather thin finish for the type.
