Great, slightly hazy copper coloured body with a super thick, eight centimetre tall tan head - a bit too much carbonation in this one! Aroma of light grass, herbal notes, pine and a touch of pineapple - some malt as well. Medium-bodied; Metallic flavour at first with a herbal, earthy grassy malt and hop characteristic then showing some alcohol and bitterness at the end. Aftertaste shows more alcohol, malt and earth than the style usually has, and perhaps quite a bit less hops than usual as well - especially for a West Coast IPA. Overall, an interesting take (more earthy/malty) on an IPA, but not a great one considering the options on the West Coast. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo in San Francisco (Geary Blvd), California on 14-January-2012 for US$6.99 sampled at home in Washington on 07-March-2012.

22oz bottle (the same label design as pictured but it is a black label w/grey & green lettering and says Reno, Nevada. 8% abv) from Lee’s discount liquors
Appearance: Pours clear amber with a huge foamy white head and lots of lacing
Aroma: Malts, caramel, pine and biscuity
Taste: Toasted malts, pine, bready with a bitter citrus (lemon) finish
A nice easy drinking IPA, well balanced.

Bottle shared at the 6th annual Richmond Industry Gathering, 11/27/11. Pours a clear amber color with a medium frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big resiny hops with citrus notes and pale malts. The taste is bitter citrus, resin hops and pale malts. Medium-full bodied.

Bomber from Taylor’s Market in Sacramento. Label has 8% ABV. Pours a beautiful copper with a creamy beige head. This is one hoppy aroma. Starts floral/citrus then pow, it’s pine. Med+ body. It’s really fresh tasting. I swear a bit of pineapple went by. Floral/fruit/pine and a lightly roast malt backbone. Finishes bitter fer sure. Really good stuff.
