Can that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any copper highlights. The big head is mocha-coloured, creamy, frothy, long lasting with thick creamy foam lacing patterns. Cocoa aromas over roasted malts and molasses. Hints of dark fruits coming from the very light cinnamon and oranges. The taste is mostly roasted malts with again, very light orange notes. Not a bad stout on its own, but not sure the oatmeal is smoothening out the cocoa, orange and cinnamon too much. Hard to feel those. Wish all three would be more potent.

Can from the LCBO. Very dark mahogany under a small lingering khaki coloured head leaving tight lace. Nose is dark chocolate, coffee, oats, light citrus, roast and spice. Light molasses sweetness with a medium- chocolate and coffee bitterness. Cinnamon is more apparent in the finish. Mouth is medium+ with soft carbonation and a dry finish. 8/4/7/4-/16
