Bottle from Seven Oaks Liquors, Abbotsford. Opaque mahogany under a small dark khaki head. Nose is roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, and pine. Light sweet molasses supporting a medium+ bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation. 7/4/7-/3/15

Bottle, LDB. Dark brown colour. The aroma has chocolate and a little bit of citrus. Full body, nice roasty elements. Solid bitterness, not a lot of hop aroma. It’s not bad, mostly a hoppy robust porter.

Black color. A lot of roastiness, luckily also smooth, strong bitterness, some hop resins and some yeast. Not bad.

On tap at Black Kettle, pours black with a large tan head - looks like a heavy stout. Aroma brings out notes of roast, a touch of diacetyl and some aggressive piney hops. Flavoour brings out a good balance of roasted malt and piney hops -- with ample bitterness along with a nice robustness from the roast. Nicely done.
