(473ml Dec 2/16 can thanks to Herbalist via phyllomedusa) ~ 2mo at drinking. Pours a fairly hazy medium orange with a small but quite persistent eggshell head that leaves a cap with fine lace. Aroma is quite sweet overall, caramel and moderate biscuit from the hefty malt backbone, citrus peel, sweet orange, canned pineapple, green leafy hops, very slightly piney. Flavour fairly sweet overall, quite some malt backbone, mostly caramel with a bit of biscuit. Sweet orange, marmalade, rather heavy potpourri/perfume floral notes, mixed citrus peels towards the finish, a touch leafy, but florals are particularly persistent. Quite some alcohol heat in the finish and especially aftertaste. Bitterness is quite low but the finish is rather hot and thus dry. The basic elements are there but things that I’d rather have dialed back are overblown instead - malt, dried flowers, booze heat. Not so drinkable in volume for me, happy I shared the can.

Can from GLB. Cloudy orange amber under a small off white head foamy head. Nose is big pine resin, citrus and tropical fruit with mango and pineapple prominent. Flavour exhibits a bit more malt presence with a light toffee underneath the big citrus bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and slick with a lingering bitter finish. While it is quite warming the alcohol is quite well integrated. 8+4+/7+/4+/18-

Lots of pine and some citrus. Lotsbof booze as can be expected like Office Christmas parties. Amber pour with decent head and great lacing. Tap at Barhop.
