This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a dark amber to slightly brown color with a one finger to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing was there and slightly all over the place, yes, no spiderweb and no speckling.
The smell had a decent rich creamy nutty malty to roasty to gentle milk chocolate and light coffee running all about under my nose. If anything, it really picked off my nose like a pack of wolves just throwing one smell in and out fairly quickly.
The taste was rich and chocolately sweet, light dried dark chocolate malt to balance.
On the palate, this one sat right at a medium in body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me - subdued but not overly bearing.
Overall, super nice Brown Ale that if it was in my distro, I’d be getting this on a regular basis. This one makes me somewhat jealous of not living in Michigan anymore.
