Tap at Great Dane Fitchburg. Opaque brown black body. Thin, oily head. Chocolatey and rich, this is more pleasant than I’d expect from a GD beer. Still sugary sweet, but enjoyable too. Sugary chocolate tones even out the big boozy raisin tones. Sort of like a sugar bomb UK barleywine, chocolified. Not much hop character. Certainly not World Class, but OK.
