12 ounce bottle from the brewery, 5/27/19. Sightly hazy amber, thin fizzy tan head, fair retention. Aroma of toasted malt and a bit of lemon. Taste is toasted malt, caramel, stone fruit. A bit of spice. Medium bodied, a bit of bitterness.

Tap at Stone Cellar. This is a pretty decent Flagship beer. Filtered pale tan, easy medium body. The malt depth is quite nice, very well balanced overall, nothing sticks out oddly. Toasty. Simplistic, but well done.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear earthy gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces nicely. Aroma is a combination of sweet grain, light rye, hay and a hint of light pine hop. Flavor begins with straw, hay and a hint of rye and is joined by some light grassy hops.

I really wanted to like this beer, but I was unimpressed - you can sure taste the grains in here, but not much else - the beer is very sweet, so it combines with the grains to make the beer taste like some kind of healthy cereal with a lot of honey poured on top of it - other than that, there wasn’t a lot going on here - corn became prominent in the finish, and the sweetness kept reminding me of corn syrup.
