Can thanks to Drake. I have no theme tonight other that, Ok, that looks good, as long as it's not from NY. Hazy brown with a soft beige head. Caramel, toffee, brown leaf, light dark fruit nose. MMM... caramel, toffee, black cherry, vanilla, light chocolate. Tasty!

12 ounce can from Woodman's Oak Creek, 1/10/20. Clear ruby red, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, earth, and a bit of smoke. Taste is earth, plum, cherry, toffee, spice, vanilla. Medium bodied, low bitterness, a hint of booze. Very nice.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance is a moderate caramel brown with a thin white head. Aroma mostly malty, nice. Taste super smooth, caramel notes, little burn, good stuff.

Draft at the brewpub. Orange-brown color. Nice foamy head. Looks filtered, but hard to verify. Well balanced, with the smooth maltiness per the style, but with a respectable hoppiness as well. A touch more earthy freshness than a typical Scottish Ale.

A rather limp and lifeless scotch ale - thin for the style, with a lot of innocuous fruitiness and a clean cane sugar sweetness on the back end - there’s a bit of nutty flavor throughout as it warms, and a tiny bit of hops in the finish, but otherwise this is really boring.

From Skyview. Dark brown color. Mild aroma, some hops, and some grain. More grain in the flavor, it tastes OK. Thin palate, that makes it more like a Scottish ale than a Scotch ale, which I think tend to be thicker.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, coppery orange-red body, thin off-white head. Aroma of toast and sweet berries. Sweet body with berries and caramelized sugars dominating the palate, with little peatiness. Bitter, rindy hops develop and last well into the finish. Needs more earthiness or peat to balance the sugars.
