Bottle from the brewery. Pitch black with a large dark khaki head that fades quickly leaving minimal lace. Nose has tons of chocolate and coffee with roast, and some light vanilla. Flavour is moderately bitter with very little sweetness to support. Mouth is more dry than creamy and a bit thinner than expected with soft carbonation. Different. 8-/4-/6+/3/14

This stout poured a deep black colour with a big, beautiful light brown head. Quite creamy. Scents include coffee,roasted malt, caramel and a little cocoa. First swig was really roasty with a nice level of carbonation. Not a thin mouthfeel but it could be a little creamier. No that that is a complaint. Nice roasted coffee flavour with a medium bitter finish.
