Zero hop aroma, slightly nutty, and roasty? Wtf? Smells and tasteslike a sweet, roasty, nutty amber ale. Ipa?! Is this an old bottle? Its not bad, but i dont get it.

Single bottle from the LCBO with a best before date of August 2014 cut-out from the label. Pours a real deep amber colour with a creamy beige head that seems small at first, but ends up staying a while and giving creamy-bubbly lacing. Some roasted malt aromas but lots of caramel come out eventually. Thankfully the taste is not really sweet as the honey is minimal. The hops are very mild for an IPA with just a little bitterness and dryness in the finish. Seems like the base malt is rye. Mouthfeel is on the creamy side. Drinkable, but not much of an IPA, nor a honey one. More like a decent ESB. One of the better Trafalgar though.

500 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear deep amber with only a skimming of white head. Nose is caramel and honey with very little hop character evident other than some very faint grass. Quite sweet toffee and honey to start with a bit of citrus bitterness appearing in the middle and through a relatively short finish Medium slick mouthfeel with very soft carbonation. Drinkable but not a typical IPA.
