Rerate of 2019 version which has added Citra to the hop bill. All the goodness of the previous incarnation but now with much more citrus brightness in both the nose and the flavour. 8+/4/8+/4/17 Bottle from the brewery. Pours a mostly clear deep copper with a two finger off white head that laces well. Nose is candied fruit with grass and pine. Nice sweet malt base with apricot and grapefruit for a good level of bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with a long bitter finish. Nice but I think I still prefer the regular Boneshaker.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of citrusy hops with light floral notes and some sweet malt y notes. Taste is also dominated by some floral citrusy hops notes with a medium sweet malt backbone. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable but nothing to really write home about.

(Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 21st 2013) Pours a deep clear copper with a bit of white head. Aroma is quite striking, like candied fruit (sugar but not really in the pale malt sense) - orange rind, dried mango. There is some pine and caramel behind, but this is a unique and punchy nose which only loses out by not being very complex. The flavour doesn’t quite mimic the nose, though the flavours - orange, tropical fruit, followed pine and other vegetation, caramel malts throughout and a moderately bitter (less than expected), drying alcohol finish, are cut from the same cloth. Body medium-full, carb moderate, alcohol fairly restrained. Good IIPA, not the best but quite enjoyable nonetheless with a strong sense of balance.

A golden amber DIPA with a thick lacing mocha head. In aroma, smooth caramel malt with faint fruity floral hops, a bit doughy. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with light sweet orange juice and floral hops, sweet honey grapefruit, nice.

Smells nice and fruity. A big step up from the immodest IPA I just had. Pours cloudy red with great head and lacing. Fruit is apples and citrus. Creamy texture. Finishes with light floral bitterness. On tap at volos.
