Canned 9/2/25, drunk 9/14/25.
Clear, honey-blonde. Large, well-retained, frothy, white head.
Nice and malty for a kolsch with proper yeast character (apple, paper, mild white pepper) and a snappy finish that is clean.
Apple and pepper side-by-side with white bread and honey-like malts. Very deep malts leaving it a bit sweeter, perhaps, than it should/could be to really make it ultra refreshing. But there's still a reasonable amount of crispness and light bitterness on the finish. Dries out nicely, as well, with a bland paper-like character that seems very authentic. In a world of kolsch's that are maligned for being too light and watery, this certainly takes it i the other direction.

Pours a golden with little to no head, somewhat oily. Aroma of lemongrass, hop oils. Taste has intensely woody notes, spices, some pine. Palate has tons of pine, oaks, more lemongrass, some lingering malt. Good.

Draught at the source: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is light apple, vegetables. Taste is sweet, low bitterness, NE hops... vegetal notes.
