Buddel: Not very blonde, but deep golden and hazy, small off-white foamy layer; thick sweet malt, yeast, maybe honey and surely alcohol in the nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit tart; slightly lingering sweet malty finish with an increasing bitterness and a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Drinkable, but a bit monotonous...

330ml bottle. Murky, dark amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, bready malty and alcoholic aroma, hints of dried fruit, raisin, a cautious touch of apricot, candied orange peel, dusty yeasty overtones. Taste is sweet malty and minimally alcoholic, minimally sugary, minimally bready, fruity hints of raisin, plum, dried banana; full body, smooth and soft palate, slightly warming, alcoholic finish.

Big thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Starts intense malty-sweetish, alcoholic. Warming. But all in all well balanced. Goes down warming, not too alcoholic, strong malty-sweet aftertaste. Not bad.

Hell malziger, alkoholisch süßer Antrunk. Sehr süß bleibend, geringe Herbe, fast zuckrig. Würzig, für ein Tripel nicht trocken genug. Vollmundig, wenig holzig. Nett. 8/9/10/9/11/9

0,33 l bottle from Beyond Beer, Hamburg. Pours out murky copper, one finger off white, maybe pale rosé, head. Malt, brown sugar and belgian yeast in the nose. Taste starts smooth, little boozy, brown sugar sweetness, malt in the second row. Also some red berries and honey in the background. Not really as complex as an Belgian triple.
