A rustic saison aged in oak for six months with our house mixed brettanomyces culture. The beer was then aged on top of a large amount of fruit for another six months, and then refermented in the bottle.

Bottle from Andrewje41: pours pinkish red with a small whitish head. Aroma is loads of raspberry and some funkiness and earthiness. Taste is slightly sweet, loads of raspberry, some sourness, a little bit acidic. Nice finish. Very pleasant.

375 mL bottle poured, picked up at Reuben's - The Taproom. Love a raspberry beer, especially when it is very clear that raspberry is used, a lot like the case with this brew. Pours a darker cranberry red, with lively carb, and a quick fading head. Aroma finds a nice balance of oak and sour red fruit. Juicy red raspberry punch right away in flavor, a little more sweet than tart. I love that the brett does not dominate the flavor on this. Nor does the raspberry really. Oak, brett, and berry all seem to find a nice balance, and leads to a really easy drinking, flavorful saison here. Would love to gather a few brews from this Brettania collection and try side by side. Really enjoyed this one.
