A carefully aged and calibrated Imperial Stout that's nuanced, delicate and complex. Expect gentle roast integrated with notes of coconut and vanilla in a medium bodied, silky beer. An extreme brewday, with two full mashes of all first runnings... then aged for a year in first fill bourbon barrels

Draught @ Fraunces Tavern, Manhattan (3/26/23). Opaque dark brown with a foamy tan head, woodsy chocolate-rum aroma, low carbonation, woodsy bitter mocha taste with alcohol overtones, thin body, long bitter woodsy finish with alcohol aftertaste. Strong and tasty, a bit boozy.

Quarantine Beer #115 sampled at home on 05/05/2020. Inky black pour with a medium thick beige head that dissipates gradually to a film. Sticky patches of lace. Coffee, malt and dark chocolate in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of roasty espresso, bittersweet chocolate and charred malt. The finish is roasty with a coffee and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is of dark roast malt, coffee, and mild bourbon. The flavor is intense with roast malt, coffee, and chocolate accompanied by bourbon and oak that's definitely there but not overpowering. It's full bodied and pretty smooth, an excellent brew.

Can at Whole Foods: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is vanilla, whiskey, loads of chocolate, some coffee. Taste is fairly sweet. Warm, but the booze is well covered. Pretty damn smooth too. Good.

Impressive bourbon barrel note, no surprise from sixpoint, just that can size still trippy

Can. Opaque black pour, with a thick mocha head that settles quickly. Heavy, complex aroma with dried fruits, molasses, dark chocolate, anise and ground dark roast coffee beans. The flavor is sweet, and follows the aroma with the addition of some bourbon.

when I spotted can I knew I had to have it, I pretended not interested and peruses rest of store but ended up grabbing. On a cool Florida day need the pick me up of big boozy stout. Dark oil can pour. Nose is hooch and chocolate and molasses. Tastes of soy sauce, chocolate, molasses, plum and dark cherry. Alcohol warming. Enjoyed very much

12 ounce can. Opaque black pour. Brief creamy tan head is gone in a blink of the eye. Roasted malt nose hints at charred oak, espresso and alcohol. First sip brings big notes of roasted malt, dark dried fruits, whisky, oak and espresso. Obvious warming boozy notes. Surprisingly, the body is light to medium. Bittersweet chocolate finish.

Can pour from BevMax, Hamden (12/1/19). Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin cap of head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong bourbon and oak, roasted malt. Taste is vanilla, strong bourbon, coconut, milder dark fruit, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, silky, thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation, and finish as taste. Overall, is pretty bourbon dominant, but not obnoxiously so, but with other flavors.
