Draught@HBF2017. Brownish black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some wooden notes as well as mild roasted notes. Flavour is wooden, nutty, some roasted notes along with fruits and some earth.

Draught @ HBF 2017 [ Helsinki Beer Festival 2017 ], Kaapelitehdas, Talberginkatu 1, Helsinki, Finland. [ As Olarin RAF XX London Porter ].Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170408] 6-4-7-3-14

Cask @ Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival XX, Espoo. Pours pitch black with a small bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, berries, earthy notes and hints of licorice. Taste is earthy, slightly roasty and and stuffy with hints of licorice and syrup. Finish is roasty, slightly hoppy and earthy with hints of berries. A bit unbalanced. Some off notes start to appear as it warms up.

Cask @Gallows real ale festival. Pours near black with a thick off white head. Aroma has sulphur, roasted malt, licorice. Medium bodied. Roasted malty flavor, some chocolate, coffee, licorice. Light in flavor but fortunately the horrid aroma wasn’t noticeable in flavor.

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2017) The beer poured black. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sulphur, burnt malts, ash and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, coffee, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A decent burnt brew with some unpleasant notes.

Cask at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Colour is dark brown with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, dryness and roasted malts. Nice soft chocolate.
