Cask at the Red Lion, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Pours golden brown with a bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt with a light peppery edge. Light sweetness and high level of bitterness. Medium body, texture a little oily. Soft carbonation. Level of bitterness was a bit too high.

Cask @ The White Lion, St. Albans. Golden with a small bubbly head. Has a berry-sweet nose, with a sweetened taste in a palatable texture.
