Our take on the Kölsch style of beer from Köln. A light malt forward beer brewed with a traditional yeast but using locally sourced malt. Fermented at ale temperatures then lagered for 3 weeks to give a clean malty character. The traditional noble hop Tettnang gives spice and depth of flavour before dry hopping with the fruity Galaxy.

Bottled. Slighly hazy golden colour with a mediumsized white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is crisp maltiness along with some yeast and mild herbal and fruity tones. Flavour is wooden, some crisp maltiness, mild mineralic and some salty tones. Nice lingering grassy/earthy bitterness to it. Mild yeastiness, otherwise very nice take on Kölsch.

Bottle at home, thanks to James, 29/07/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is biscuit malt, straw, light orange peel, hint of spice. Taste comprises clean malts, light bread, background hop, straw, hint of orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough for the style.

On tap at Hop Stuff Taproom Ashford. Hazy dirty gold. An earthy dirty lager. I mean it's not a kolsch. Earthy dirty. Cardboard paper. Nope not for me.
