Keg at MS HW, 28/07/18. Golden amber with a well presented off white head. Nose is malt forward, biscuit, light orange peel, straw. Taste comprises light orange peel, toasted grains, crackers, bread dough, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with moderate bitterness. Average.

Can 330ml. @ [ Højbjerg Tasting ] - Saxo House, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Grain Lagered At Zero Pale ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange (artificial citrus - orange). Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, pale malt, citrus, fruity. Can. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Herbal. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Can @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, fruits, flowers, caramel, malt and has a nice hoppy finish.

Can, 5%. Slightly hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, little butter and dusty. Flavour is malt, caramel, dusty, medium sweet, fruit, little grapefruit and a little bitter.

33 cL can. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity. Slight herbal. Bitter, fruity. Slight oily hoppy. Lingering fruity and hoppy finish.

Tap at the Spread Eagle, Ipswich. Pours golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of fresh hop, passion fruit, caramel and floral notes. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation.

Keg tap at the Cambridge Blue. From Grain’s new keg-only line apparently. Golden brown, clear without much visible carbonation. Flat malt aroma with some muted grassy hop. Taste is full-on hoppy, with some bitter caramel notes. The hoppiness is short on the finish but still lovely to drink. Like Camden Pale Ale but considerably better. I would, however, like a bit more personality. It’s a standard keg APA and I think Grain could’ve done something a bit more exciting...
