At a tasting, thanks, clear yellow color, very little head, mineral and cardboard aroma, sweet and bland with a light bitterness and lots of metalic notes. Not good.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of graininess, a bit of paper, hay. Sweetish grainy flavor, with a bit of paper, and a drier finish. Light-bodied.

Oct. ’14. A 0.355 l can kindly shared by Marko, thanks! It poured yellow body with almost no head. Grainy and eggy malt aroma. Flavor was lightly sour and a bit less sweet, very simple and very watery. A bit bitter in the finish, but almost entirely bland and watery. Some off notes too, but could not be much anyway. Boring.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a fairly small and disappearing white head. Malty aroma, sweet grains also present. Taste is sweet and malty, little bitterness, a bit watery. May(a)be fine on a hot day on the beach, but nothing special, really.

Cans of this are the ’stock’ beer for the in room mini-bars in Playa Pesquero where I spent a couple of weeks recently, so drunk in some quantity due to its unlimited availability. It’s a reasonable pale lager for a hot Cuban day, lacks some of the taste of Cristal/Cacique but easily drinkable and better than Bucanero. Pale golden colour, average pale lager carbonation, some floral notes, a refreshing and inoffensive brew.

Can in a nice little restaurant in Trinidad, Cuba. This was the only time i saw this beer in Cuba. Aroma is clean and crisp, corn and light lager notes. Very pale yellow piss coloured pour with a fleeting white frothy head. Flavour is composed of crisp , dry malts, plenty of adjunct, rice corn and carbonic acid. Palate is very light and thin, very high carbonation and carbonic acid in the finish. Pretty clean , but there is nothing much there.

Enormous thanks to Krešo for this one, shared with heavy. Poured a pale, dull yellow-golden body, fizzy as fuck but without any head. Damn... Light herbal/vegetable note in the generaly sweetish malty aroma. Extremely watery taste, liiiight herbal notes, with aa tart touch, but it’s mildly sweet as well. Might kinda work in the heat - but no, just no.

4/III/14 - 33cl can @ home - BB: 15/I/15 (2014-246) Thanks to Johan VC and Erwin for the can!

Pale yellow beer, small irregular white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: grains, hay, malty. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: little bitter, grassy hops, watery. Aftertaste: little bitter, citrus hay. Well, you know what yellow fizzy water tastes like, don't you? CUBA, tick!

Blassgelbes Bier mit wenig Schaum. Geruch malzig, ansonsten keine Aromen. Geschmack leicht malzig, wässrig.

Mayabe Cerveza Clara - 0.33 bottle at 0.90€. Pale yellow beer with a small white head quickly disappearing. Light nose of malts, some mineral tones. Aroma has light malts, straw and citrusy notes. Taste has some sweetness with a pinch of salt, quite flat. Almost no body, fizzy carbonation. Refreshing exotic beer but nothing interesting.
