4.8% about 450 yen from Rakuten. I bought this for the cool retro fist graphic on the label. Possibly my first Altbier from Germany. It pours a light brown but is very clear with a light beige head. The aroma is a sweet sugary caramel malts with freshly crushed grains. Medium to full body, nicely balanced, a bit nutty, a little bitter & a touch sweet with some biscuity grain flavor. Not bad.

50cl bottle, picked up at the Lippstadt Trinkgut, pours with a clear amber body that supports a nice looking white-ish nearly firm tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some roasted malts to go along with a lesser degree of sweet nuttiness and malt sweetness. The taste is similar where a decent load of roasted malts give ground to nuttiness and then a touch of dark toasted bread. Overall pretty enjoyable.

Dusseldorf altbier style, although not a very good one. Color and aroma is right, but taste and palate are weak and watery.

40cl on tap at Cerveceria Hannen Alt, Puerto De La Cruz. Slightly hazy copper coloured with an off-white head. Malty aroma with lots of caramel, hints of spices and hops and some roasty notes. Well balanced. Sweet and malty with a bit dry and lightly bitter finish. Nice and refreshing. (2012-12-30)
