500ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, dense, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head - looks perfect. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, vinous fruity and minimally (yeasty) spicy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, red wine, blue grapes, vanilla, hints of dried fruit, date, a marmite touch. Taste is roasty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, slightly spicy and vinous fruity, minimally woody, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, a minimally ashy touch, some dried fruit, date, vanilla, a touch of oak and marmite. Creamy to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation. Well crafted, nice malty basis, okay-ish adjunts, round and homogeneous, not the most complex Impy Stout - pretty decent.

Bottle @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki. 2018 vintage. Poured darkish brown in color, thin white head. Drak fruits in aroma followed by wood, red wine notes and creamy chocolate. Complex brew. Barrel has done good here. Chocolate velvety notes and wood, mellowing out with some red wine in the finish. Excellent.
