Can from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours almost black with a large light beige head. Aroma is of After Eights. Toward heavy sweetness, minimal bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. For what it’s designed to be, it does a good job.

UBottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Black with an off-white head and a light frothy mouthfeel. After Eight mint blended into a light roasted malt and black coffee base. Was afeared that this could be too sweet and overwhelmed by fake flavours. But no- Crafty Devil have got it exactly right, the roastiness and black coffee balancing out the sweet chocolate and mint perfectly to create a harmonious and tasty brew. A damn fine effort; thank you!
