All of our Vintage Ales are very special beers. We've created a new recipe every year since 1997, picking the best ingredients at the time, to make a strong beer with a complex character. This version is brewed with Pilot, CF299 & Target hops and Pale Ale & Extra Dark Crystal malts.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours a lovely mahogany colour. Taste is caramel, toffee, prunes and malt. Prefer this to last year’s entry.

Cask at the Old Joint Stock; clear amber pour with a creamy beige head, aroma has winter fruits and spice, taste has sweet caramel, warming alcohol, winter spices, dark fruits --- Beer merged from original tick of Vintage Ale (2024) on 21 Sep 2024 at 12:30 - Score: 7

Biscuit, bread & dull citrus aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy smooth & soft on the tongue with a sticky back. Malt, orange zesty, Christmas cake & raisin tastes with a spiced finish.

[50cl bottle from Waitrose - #22155.] A bright copper coloured pour with a minimal white head; aroma of rich vinous fruits with a touch of citrus; smooth in the mouth with an oily texture, tasting of plums, raisins and figs; then a sugary finish and a gentle warmth in the belly.Good as ever.

Bottle from Waitrose, Weybridge. Aroma is sour and fruity, with an underlying malts and glue current. Clear dark amber. Thick foamy off-white head. Initial hits of fruits and glue. Caramel. Bitter follow-up - woody, vinous. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Soft-flat carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Nice warming stuff.

Sammen med Rune & Richard i WCveien og hjemme jula -24. Mørk amber. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte & etterlater kulmplacing. Aroma av svisker & plommer. Smaken fersken & aprikos. Dadler. Lett tørr bitter avslutning.
