Brut IPA, eh? The latest "trendy" style to be over hyped and over here... so, naturally, we'll have a go at it! For this we enlisted our friends at Kent-based Iron Pier brewing and together we cooked up a dry (although not quite as dry as we wanted), pale brew hopped with 3 varieties known for their "grapiness"... well, why not, the name seems to suggest it... Unfined, as are most of our specials nowadays, and very interesting too! Style: Brut IPA Colour: 4.6 EBC (Pale gold) ABV: 5.9% Bitterness: 35 IBUs (Low) Malt: LC Propino, CaraPils, Wheat Malt Hops: Magnum (PL), Cascade, Chinook (US), Nelson Sauvin (NZ), Hallertauer Blanc (DE), Godiva CF127 (UK) Yeast: US05 ale yeast Hops grams / litre: 15

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 9 December 2018. Hazy gold with shallow off-white foam and plenty of lacing. Solid hoppy aroma. Rich and intense grapefruit hoppiness in-mouth, with a satisfying finish of the same. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Superb.
