A smooth chocolate porter, made with freshly roasted cocoa powder and rich roasted malts. Original! recipe brewed in collaboration with Closet Brewing, this version has been adapted to taste great on cask.
Plenty of Dark Munich for smooth maltiness alongside rich coffee and chocolate notes from the roasted malts and Phoenix hops for a backbone of chocolate.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a dissipating khaki head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred, umami, salty liquorice, cacao nibs, mocha coffee and gateaux. The taste is dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, slick, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, coffee grounds, umami, spikey liquorice, slight charred and chocolate bourbons with a bitter - sweet chocolatey finish. Medium body and fine, but well appointed finish. Robust flavour.

Black beer, thin head. Big malty aroma with a bit of chocolate. Flavour has toasty malt, some milk chocolate, cocoa powder which brings a dry quality to it and there's a toastiness in here too. Decent body, this is just super drinkable.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours black with a short-lived thin tan head. Aromas of cocoa and raisin. Taste adds light roast too. Solid, if a little sweet.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - mat black with a quickly disappearing head. Nose - dark almost bitter chocolate. Roasty and earthy. Taste - dark and sweet chocolate, chewy toffee, raisins and again roasty. Palate - medium bodied, chewy and sweet, roasty and sweet finish. Overall - lovely stuff.
