DESCRIPTION
Schunkeln is our first hefeweisen and we’re really proud of it. A full bodied mouth feel, with tasty yeast esters. Banana, cloves and a hint of coriander in the taste. Best served whilst swaying in a beer hall to a rhythmic beat.
Artwork: This is Jim. Jim is our brewer and Simon’s right hand man. He is more lovingly known in the brewery as ‘The Wizard’.

330ml bottle, out of date when drank on 24th June 2018. Scored objectively and kindly because it had lost it's flavour somewhat. Anyway, poured with a slight haze to it's golden/yellow body, full white crown on top. No real strong esters in the aroma, the taste was also subdued, only mild hints of the usual banana, clove and yeasty flavours you'd expect from a true Hefeweizen. Would like to try a fresh one sometime.

0.33l bottle. Only a tiny bit murky golden body with a white head. Aroma and taste of bread, tangerine, grass and cloves. Not much like a hefeweizen for me. Drinkable but not too exciting.

bottle. clear yellow, smooth white to offwhite head. aroma of wheat, yellow fruits, faint banana, balanced. flavor is a bit herbal bitter, also wheat, yeasts and hops. a bit too crazy-herbal-bitter for my taste for a wheat, but if you like euro bitter hoppy wheat, then this is fine.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Gipsy Hill Schunkeln ].Hazy medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, wheat, chalk, light earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, wheat, pale malt, sweet malt, yeast, sharp, earthy, chalk.
