Bottle. A dark brown beer with a small beige head. Unclear. The aroma is boozy and lightly oaked, with roasted malts, dark chocolate and even more booze. It's full-bodied and warming, semi-sweet, with a gentle carbonation. Quite vinous, boozy flavor. Roasted malt notes, toffee, dark dried fruit and some brown sugar, smoke and chocolate. Lasting finish. Way too boozy this one, but with lots of nice flavors anyway. 241231

355ml bottle [at 10.9% abv]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Vinous fruity and dark malty, minimally woody aroma, notes of blue grapes, blueberry, some bramble, plum, red wine, a touch of oak. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, yeasty, vinous fruity, slightly alcoholic, notes of sweet cherry, hints of blue grapes, blueberry, a touch of bramble, yeasty spicy overtones; slightly warming, alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Very fruity, a tad boozy - nice sipper.

10,9 % Svart med beige skum. Mørk sjokolade, mørke bær, noe kaffe, blomster og rått kjøtt. Middels fylde. Smaker svisker, kaffe, lakris mot salmiakklakris og blomster. Middels lang.

Deep dark brown with a creamy beige head. Caramel, toffee and some booze. Boozy raisin and some brown sugar. Surprising light finish. Nice.

Tasting at Matt’s
Dark amber to brown color, small head. Nice aroma, the bourbon dominates, caramel, light smoke. Sweet, malty, a lot of bourbon flavor, coconut, not balanced enough by any bitterness, no depth, short finish.
Pretentious.

Light brown colour, with no head. The aroma is sweet, with a figgy character, lots of barrel. This has a lot of sweetness, fig jam, and then it has a bourbony finish. There is a bit of heat in the finish to this one. A touch of brown sugar. Not really impressing me with this one.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small white head. Nose brings out a surprising amount of peanut butter (?!), along with dark fruits, some subdued earth, and bourbon barrels. Flavour is along the same lines, with notes of peanut butter upfront, followed by bourbon barrels, and subdued bready caramel. For something that has no peanut butter, it's surprising how much this tastes like it.

On tap at HOTD for Fred Fest. The best beer of the day I think. Pours a ruddy orange color with a medium white head. A huge sweet barrel nose. The flavor is massive hot bourbon, very sweet, very decadent, some toast, creamy palate, vanilla and tobacco. Lovely.
