Life is Relentless is an irrefutably true statement, a catch-all response to anything going awry, and the name of our Barrel Aged Imperial Stout w/ Coffee.
This iteration was aged in Heaven Hill rye barrels for 13 months and then paired with a single origin, natural process Ethiopian bean from Stereo Coffee: Sheka, which is known for having fruitier characteristics over roasty notes. We only have 450 bottles of it, so you'll need to be quick!
This decadent and full-bodied Imperial Stout imparts intense flavours of cocoa and coffee, complemented by a solid backbone of anise and brown sugar. It drinks smooth while incorporating a warming, boozy finish. Think rye-inoculated Coffee Crisp, sprinkled with crème brûlée crust.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt with some floral coffee notes and some rye barrel notes. Taste is also a good mix of chocolate malt with some floral coffee notes and rye barrel notes with light residual sugar notes. Body is full for style with an oily texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Well brewed rye BA aged coffee stout with good drinkability.
