The Twelve is the latest foray in our exploration of Czech-style lagers. Brewed with a traditional double decoction mash and a long, cold fermentation before being put to rest for an 8-week lager period. We love dipping our toes in to the world of Czech beers and while we have so much still to learn we are very excited about this beer and hope you are too!

Can: Poured a clear golden color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light residual sugar notes and herbal hoppy notes. Taste is also a mix of clean cereal notes with some sweet notes and herbal hops notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Good pilsner with a clean malt bill.

Poured from 355mL can (thanks Sammy; pkg 02/Nov/2023). Hazed deep gold with white head. Subdued pils malt with saaz hops. Nice hops, but the malt expression seems a bit muted. Least favourite of the three beers from True History I've tried so far, still okay.
