375ml @ Ryan's after kids' time. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: loads of American oak, some nice dark fruits, a bit of vanilla and chocolate coming from the American oak. Taste: along the same lines, lots of oak. There are some cognac barrel notes, but it's not very noticeable rather it creates some additional layer of complexity. Finished nicely with chocolate and vanilla coming from American oak. Overall: good one.

Poured from 375mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Bourbon and mild cognac, balanced, enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some woody bourbon notes and vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of black chocolate notes with some solid woody bourbon notes with some light Cognac barrel notes also noticeable with light residual sugar notes. Body is full with oily texture with good carbonation with some alcohol notes that are discernible. Solid double barrel aged stout with quality barrels used in the process.
