75 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu as ”Lancelot Chouchen”, BBE 15.11.2013
Aroma is sweet with honey – and feels exactly like a root beer. Also some alcohol. Flavour has some alcohol, mint and honey. A root beer twist here too. A bit weird and unique stuff – hard to rate as a beer. But 8 cl was enough. The honey gets stronger towards the end of the glass. But at least it is quality honey – not that sticky non‐running stuff.

Bottled. A light yellow mead. The aroma has notes of honey, flowers, and some spices. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of honey combined with medium notes of pollen and spices, leading to a dry finish. The alcohol is felt on the palate.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a clear pale yellow. Rather interesting aroma - sweet honey and tart apples. Medium body, honey yes but predominantly tart and whitewineish. Somewhat salty also. I believe there’s some cider in this one. Interesting and clearly different. 301110

Deep gold color; flat of course. Mature, woody, sweet aroma; chestnut honey or mountain honey. Sweetness balanced by a low pH, with woody notes; the alcohol is a bit too evident. Interesting and quite complex, not cloying.
